R.I.P. Challenge V

I believe I've been saying since Carl's first R.I.P. challenge started that this will be the year I play but I never do. I'm going to this year! I haven't quite decided what I'm going to read yet but Rebecca, Frankenstein, and a few other classics I haven't read (or haven't read in forever) are probably going on my list. Maybe a Stephen King too...

Oh, and there's a new part of the challenge called Peril on the Screen that I think I may participate in as well as the Peril the First.

  2. I didn't know you hadn't participated before! For some reason I just took it as a given that you had... At least your intro post means that I actually am commenting on your blog! Very exciting, huh? lol :)

  3. The first time I read Frankenstein, I was actually assigned to teach it! Nothing like a little pressure, but I really liked it. I grew up with that Frankenstein (green head, screw bolts, etc) idea in my head and got such a different visual from the book. Will be interesting to see what you think.
I'm reading Rebecca for the first time also for RIP V. Looking forward to lots of spooky reads!!

  5. Yes! It is great that you decided to take the plunge this year. There are so many great books that I know you will enjoy. Rebecca and Frankenstein are both excellent choices. I too was very surprised by Frankenstein when I first read it as the films were certainly not in line with what the book actually presents.
