New Dog!

Blazin

Hope everyone had a good weekend! It has been a little hectic here since hubby surprised me Friday by bringing home a dog. His uncle is a well-known breeder of champion Boxers so he has ties down here to other breeders. He was offered a 9-month old CKC registered German Shepherd for free since the owner was getting a divorce and couldn’t keep him. Uncle Rick remembered how Darren and I had talked about getting a dog so he put in a good word and presto, we are the proud new owners of Blazinfire Von Hous (Blazin‘ or Blaze).

Blazin and Darren

He’s really a sweet and gentle dog. A bit skittish and terrified of my cat but still completely adorable. Also, he’s ginormous! If he stood on his hind legs, he’d be taller than me. As it is, he’s eye level with the kitchen table… and still has three more months of growth left. I already have a feeling he’s going to a bit of a daddy’s boy but it’s nice to have a dog in the house again.

Happy Boys!

  1. Blazin is gorgeous, Jen! Congratulations on the new addition to your family. :-)

It's always funny to hear when a big dog is fearful of a tiny little cat. LOL But those of us with both cats and dogs already know it's the cats that rule the house. ;-)

  6. Wow... still has more growth!!! Wow, but he is a beautiful dog!! We have two ourselves in our family. One is a little mulitpoo and the other is a mini schanzer. The schanzer is a monster in comparison to the mulitpoo. Too funny!!
Then I can say that you had a great weekend!
