Groundhog Day

It's Groundhog's Day everybody! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today so traditionally, we're supposed to be getting 6 more weeks of winter. It's so nice outside today though!

I hope my backyard continues to bloom though because my camilla's are just now coming out. Oh, does anyone have any tips about how to keep turtles out of the yard? Mine's fenced in but it doesn't seem to help and the baby turtles keep becoming play toys for Blaze :(

  1. I'm bummed that winter's here for 6 more weeks. I don't have any turtle tips.

  3. So this is for real! People actually get Phil to come out and decide if it will still be winter. How funny and adorable. I thought it was just a film. Shows you how much us Brits know.

  4. Bermudaonion: I just got some new winter clothes so I don't mind that much lol.

Alice Teh: Oh well, worth a try.

Vivienne: Yep! I believe Phil is pretty much a pet now if I'm not mistaken.

  5. I hate winter!! No turtle tips. On the other hand we had a goundhog last year - not cute and not fun. Ended up with a horrible incident with the dog the garden and a brick. At least the dog's okay.

  6. It's very chilly today here. Can't wait for summer! The groundhog puts an optimistic flavour to summer-waiting :)

  7. I'm glad you posted this, I'm away for the weekend and missed hearing it.

6 more weeks of winter work for me since I make money snow plowing.

    Great blog!

  8. CarolsNotebook: Uhoh. Glad to hear that the dog made it though. Winter isn't too bad but I just like sweaters.

Cherry: He's cute at least lol

Concord Carpenter: I've never lived anywhere where we needed a snow plow so I've never seen one except in movies. Thanks for coming by!

Naida: My sinuses aren't happy with this warm/cold back and forth the weather is doing.
