After finally getting all caught up with Moonlight (which I can’t believe the stupid TV people have cancelled!), I was having a serious Jason Dohring craving so for the past few days I’ve been staying up re-watching all three seasons of Veronica Mars, another wonderful show that was cancelled for stupid reasons. Enough with cancelling my shows already! I mean I wouldn’t mind as much if they would at least replace them with something good but everything that’s coming up this year sounds like it sucks.
At least it gives me time to catch up on my reading! I finished Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury today. It was really good, if a little long-winded in some places. Looking forward to seeing how well it translated to screen when I watch the Disney adaptation for the first time this weekend. Well Rose Cottage by Mary Stewart is due back to the library tomorrow so I need to get busy!
There's a new post on my other blog too

Hi tink, I hate that too, when they cancel shows I like.

My husband and I watched the season premiere clip for season 4 of Veronica Mars last night--skipping her through college and Quantico. It would have been an interesting leap for the show had they been able to go forward with it. I really liked Veronica Mars and was so sad to see it go. It seems like a lot of the best shows get cancelled. :-( I was a fan of Firefly, Studio 60, and Wonder Years, all of which had a short life span.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing Joss Whedon's new show, Dollhouse. It looks interesting.
I hate it when the networks don't give more time for certain shows to develop-in addition to Moonlight,my mom and I really got into New Amsterdam(the Fox series about an immortal cop in NYC seeking his true love to break the spell over him)and they're not renewing that one either.
ReplyDeleteLifetime had a good vampire teamed up with a woman detective show,Blood ties(based on Tanya Huff's books)but I don't know if it will be back on. I hope so,anyway.
I hate that too. I've had so many great shows cancelled on me in the past. UGH! I checked ou The Dollhouse, amd it does look good. I also plan on checking out the new show called In Plain Sight. I hope New Amsterdam doesn't get cancelled. I love that show! Oh yeah, and Blood Ties is one of my favorites. I hope that comes back.
