Quick update while I'm feeling better: we (finally) bought the house! We've painted two rooms and are all moved in except for unpacking and my cat doesn't know what to think.
Unfortunatly I didn't only keep my review a day promise but I didn't really get to do much with the house since we bought it either because only two hours after closing I had to go to the emergency room. I don't think they had quite decided what was wrong with me when they sent me home after some poking and prodding but they came to the conclusion that it's something on my right side (which I repeatedly told them so thankfully that got through), either a cist or a kidney stone. Ugh!
So I'm pretty cranky but I'm really loving my house! Once I find the camera I'll have to take pictures :)
I hope you're feeling better. How awful! But I'm glad you're happy with the house, and kitty will get used to it quickly. When we bought our house, our cats stayed in the basement for the first day or so, but made their way to the second floor within a couple days and then were just fine!

Congratulations on your new home...how exciting! I bet you are so excited. Please feel better and get whatever it is you have taken care of as it doesn't sound like something to let go on without dealing with it. I shall keep you in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back and of course we missed you!
I love the sparkly picture! What a great pickmeup for a Monday morning!
ReplyDeleteHi LadyTink!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, but at least you have a new house to put together! My sister gave my mom her cat when she had to move, and Skittles took to it right away. She's actually happier than she's ever been, so give kitty a few days, she be fine and will love the new surroundings.
Dottie :)
Yuck! I hope that they figure out what is going on and you start feeling better soon. I think that it is all the worse when they don't know what it is exactly. Congrats on the house though and I can't wait to see pictures :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine dealing with a move and health issues at the same time! I hope you feel better soon and can get settled in.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! And congrats on the house! Do post some pics when you have the chance.
ReplyDeleteI moved two weeks ago and my cats are still adjusting to the new place, but they actually took it better than I was expecting.
Congrats on your new home! How exciting! I hope you feel better soon and whatever it is is nothing serious. Looking forward to seeing the pictures!

I'm glad you're feeling better! Especially with the excitement of a new house. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYep, when moving with cats it is best to keep them confined for a couple of days, till the know that this is the new house and you won't be going anywhere.
Congratulations on yoru new house, Jen!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you're not feelng well, but I hope you'll feel better soon.

Diary of an Eccentric
didn't the test enough to give you a positive diagnosis???? Nor any treatment????? (i hate doctors and hospitals, i swear they are so "tuned down" (not caring) which i know they have to be in that business, but they are so tuned down that they send people home when they shouldn't.. I hope you are alright.
ReplyDeleteso where do you live now/???? can't wait to see pics!
Glad to hear that your move went okay and hope you feel better soon:)
ReplyDeleteYes we miss you! I hope you're feeling better. Neither of those things are very pleasant to have at all. I'm glad you got the house and are getting settled. I'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better! Moving is stressful enough! Congrats on the new home and I hope you get settled in quickly!
ReplyDeleteI hope you start feeling better soon. good luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteLezlie: I feel a whole lot better and the cat went exploring yesterday when the dogs (we have my husband's cousin and his wife staying with us for awhile and they have two dogs-- my cat hates other animals lol) were put up.
ReplyDeleteBingo: I'm no longer in any pain but I plan to schedule a doctor's appointment anyway since all the hospital gave me was pain killers and something to keep nausea at bay. Thank you!
Rhapsody in Books: Glad you liked it! Glittergraphics.com has a huge collection of others like it :)
My Blog 2.0 (Dottie): This house is a real pain to put together lol. I haven't actually unpacked anything really as I've spent all my time cleaning! My kitty really loves these huge windows in the bedroom that look out on the backyard. She spends her time watching the birds and squirrels mostly. Skittles is such a cute name for a cat :)
Samantha.1020: Yeah, what I really hated was sitting up there for so long and instead of being treated, I was just handed some pain killers and a list of instructions lol. At least I'm feeling better now! I'm trying to get things cleaned up right now so I haven't even really unpacked yet lol. I might post some "work in progress" pics soon though.
Carrie K.: Well it certainly wasn't fun but hubby's family pretty much took over all the painting and moving stuff. I think they let me carry only one thing in lol. Thanks for the well wishes :)
Nymeth: Thank you and I sure hope to soon! We've been trying to close since March so I'm so excited to have finally moved in. My cat was NOT happy but she's adjusting well.
Avisannschild: Thank you! I'll try to get the house cleaned up well enough to take pictures soon.
CarolsNotebook: Thank you!
Scrap Girl: Thanks. I am better but it took awhile and I'm still having to be careful about what I eat. I'll try to get the pics up sometime next week maybe?
Naida: Thank you!
Melody: Hopefully I'll be caught up on all these blogs by the time you're back lol. Enjoy your vacation!
The Book Resort: She hasn't been underfoot too much. :) I actually haven't read anything since before I got sick... really need to pick something up soon!
Sharon: Oh she's an inside cat only but I do let her roam the house at her own pace. So far my bedroom is her "comfort zone space" but she'll go check out the living room, dining room, and kitchen occasionally.
Alice Teh: Thanks! I'm all better now but I still plan on seeing a doctor for whatever it was in case it comes back. I'll have the pics up asap.
Anna: Oh thank you!!!
DesLily: They poked and prodded me and told me I either had a calcium kidney stone of one of the cists on my ovary burst but that was it. Oh and then handed me a list of instructions of what not to eat, what to do if it got worse, and some painkillers. I'm not sure if they could have done anything else for me but I sure would have liked some kind of an explanation of why it happened and what to do to prevent it! Especially since I sat in the room for over an hour during a shift change. Most of the doctors and nurses had good bedside manner though. A few talked to each other like I wasn't there though. I still live in Gautier but just across town now.
Lady T: Thanks :)
Dar: I'll probably still be getting settled months from now but at least I'm no longer hurting lol. Thank you :)
Natasha @ Maw Books & Serena: Thank you!
Congrats on the new home!! Hope you feel better. Yes... you are missed. :)
ReplyDeleteWell congrats on gettng into the house and getting two rooms painted. But not good with the "something on your right side'. What kind of diagnosisi is that? I hope you're feeling better Jen. Take care of yourself...
