Here are all the things I picked up while I browsed (and boy were they ever heavy!):
The Comprehensive Country Music Encyclopedia by the Editors of Country Music Magazine
Do Fish Drink Water? : Puzzling and Improbable Questions and Answers by Bill McLain
Easy to Remember : The Great American Songwriters and Their Songs by William Zinsser
Gen X TV : From the Brady Bunch to Melrose Place by Rob Owen
Owls Aren't Wise and Bats Aren't Blind : A Naturalist Debunks Our Favorite Fallacies about Wildlife by Warner Shedd
Red, Hot & Blue : A Smithsonian Salute to the American Musical by Amy Henderson Dwight Blocker Bowers
Swag : Southern Women Aging Gracefully
by Melinda Rainey Thompson
The Stephen King Story by George Beahm
Werewolf Book : The Encyclopedia of Shape-Shifting Beings by Brad Steiger
Little Girl Lost by Drew Barrymore with Todd Gold
Now, I’m not sure if I’m even going to read half of these but browsing through them will be a lot of fun. I do have a quick question though, what is your favorite cookbook or treat? Or do you have any kind of recipe made with Mountain Dew? I know I’m being mysterious but I have a (hopefully good) surprise for you guys soon regarding the last question…
A recipe with Mountain Dew? HUHHH? LOL Ummm can I ask why? Do you like to drink it and thought hmmm lemme bake a cake with it too? LOL :) You crack me up!
ReplyDeleteGreat library loot!
Nigella Lawson has some fabulous cook books. I use a lot of recipes from her books. Not good for anyone dieting though.
ReplyDeleteOoooh... those are some neat titles you've got there. Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to read Owls Aren't Wise and Bats Aren't Blind since Jeane at Dog Ear Diary reviewed it. It sounds so interesting!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't know much about cook books so I can't be of any help there.
Have fun with your books!
ReplyDeleteHere's to getting out of the slump. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Jen! :D
ReplyDeleteHoly cow - did you need a forklift to get them all home? :)
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the load you brought home from the library. You know I have a dessert that I use 7 Up in but I bet Mountain Dew would work too.
ReplyDeletehows everything going with the new house?
ReplyDeletegreat library loot, I havent gone to the library in at least a month.

No recipes with mountain dew. I haven't even had a taste of one in years!
ReplyDeleteRachelfromNJ: Oh I love to drink it but I have a recipe that I love for Coca-Cola cake. I was just wondering if anyone has ever made a Mt. Dew cake.
ReplyDeleteScrap Girl: I might have to try her out! Thanks.
Alice Teh: Yeah, I went browsing and that's always a sure way to bring home some neat stuff lol.
Nymeth: I flipped through it a few times but it didn't really call to me so I took it back.
Kailana: I am!
The Book Resort: I think I'm slowly but surely pulling myself out...
Melody: :)
Michele at Reader's Respite: Nope! Just a loving husband who carried all the heavy ones lol. If I hadn't had him though I may have needed a wheelbarrow...
Dar: Thanks again for the recipe! It sounds interesting but there are a few things in it that I won't eat so I may need to see if I can tweak it.
Naida: Everything's good except for these creepy crabs! I might not get to the Stephen King book. I was a little ambitious with all these lol.
Lenore: No Mountain Dew?! How do you manage to survive? It's pretty much the only thing I drink besides milk and occasionally juice!
