Musing Monday-Bookshelves

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about tidy bookshelves.

Are your bookshelves strictly books only? Or have knick-knacks invaded? Do your shelves also shelve DVDs? Photos? Why not snap a photo – I’m sure we all like to spy on other’s shelves!

My knick-knacks haven’t invaded my bookshelves yet but that’s just because I’m waiting for my other bookcases to be built first. I plan on putting my Disney snowglobes near my Disney-related books. I do need to get another case just for DVDs though so I can get them out of my dresser though!

    I'm so jealous of your book shelves! It's a dream of mine to have my own custom built book shelves built into my own custom built library/study. I'm in love with them. I want! Lol. Sorry to sound crazy, but it's a very impressive collection and book shelves!

    Here's mine, no where near as impressive, but a good collection (I'm bias, as I own the collection)

    **drooling** I have bookshelf envy right now! LOL My dream is to have an entire room of built in bookcases to house all of my books!! Love your library!!!

    Major bookshelf envy going on here and I'm doing my fair share of it:)

    My shelves have numerous knick-knacks upon them(some theme related to the books,others not)and even a few pictures added on as a backsplash of sorts. Don't have any photos but maybe I can persuade my sister to help me out in this dept.

    Stuff on my bookshelves include:

    old toys
    old records
    cd's
    photographs
    magazines
    postcards
    a few old birthdaycards
    oh yeh! books

    Vivienne: Yep! These were built only the weekend before last so I haven't had a chance to fill them up yet. It's going to be even worse when the other two bookshelves get built.

    Mine have all sorts of e knick-knacks and figurines and stuff. And there's one that's books and DVDs, but the others are books only. LOVE yours :D

    Wow! Your shelves are beautiful. I love the idea of knick-knacks on bookshelves - especially how you are going to put your Disney snow-globes with your Disney books!

    I LOVE your bookshelves! I actually wish I could have all, or most anyway, of my books together. It makes me feel like I have more. Plus I can gaze adoringly at them...lol.
    I can't believe you have empty shelves. Doesn't that just make you feel like you NEED more books? That's how I feel anyway!
