BTT-Format

All other things (like price and storage space) being equal, given a choice in a perfect world, would you rather have paperbacks in your library? Or hardcovers? And why?

I used to be mainly a paperback fan but I've found over time I'm more fond of hardback books... just not their prices! Paperbacks are so much easier to accidently damage, especially the spine and it drives me nuts!

  1. I like both for different reasons. I like paperbacks because they are cheaper and I can carry them around easier for reading, comes in handy while I read in the doctors office.

I like hardcovers because they are just nicer to have in my collection, but they can be too expensive.
If I really love a book series or author, I will only get the books in hardcover.

  2. I love them both equally (like kids).

  3. Paperbacks are definitely not as hardy as hardbacks. I have come to appreciate hardcover books more as the years go by. I do prefer the trade paperback books quite a bit though. They seem to have the elegance of the hardcover and the portability of the mass market.

  4. If you have nephew like mine, hardcovers fall apart too!
