UGLIES BY SCOTT WESTERFELD:
She thought of the first day she had arrived there, seeing a magazine for the first time in the library, realizing with horror what humanity had once looked like. The pictures had made her sick that first day, and now here she was ready to save them.
That's a great teaser, Jen! I've heard of this book every where I go. Is it a sign that I should get a copy? Hehe...
ReplyDeleteOoooh... nice to know we share the same favourite flavour. :D
I have heard of this book a lot as well. I have it on my list but I am not sure when I will get to it.
ReplyDeleteAlice & Marg: Believe me, it is well worth reading but you might want to get the next couple in the series because I'm going crazy waiting on them to come in at the library.
ReplyDeleteI have wondered about this book. Do you think it would be appropriate for my (almost) 11 year old daughter?
ReplyDeletegreat teaser! youre the second person today I see reading this one.

Lisamm: Maybe. There are a few kissing scenes but it's very, very tame and is more of an adventure/ "be an individual" type book. She would probably like it and so would you! I wish I had a hoverboard lol!
ReplyDeleteNaida: Was the first Walking On Sunshine? We're in the same online reading group. This is our October B read. I'm trying to wait for the discussion but I really want to find out what happens next so I've already ordered the next three books.
Sounds intriguing...I like the cover, too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a terrific book! I think I'm going to suggest it to my 12-year-old daughter.
ReplyDeleteI will buy this for m 13 year old niece.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser?
Softdrink: I love the covers. This really is a good book but I wish I had gotten the omnibus that compiles the series together so I wouldn't have to wait!
ReplyDeleteCarrie & Gautami: That's probably around the intended age range. It was really, really good!
