Library Loot 5
I only read one of the books I picked up last week and that was The Graveyard Book which I absolutely adored. I did get four other library books read as well but those are all ones I've had almost since I started doing these library loots! Okay, so here is what I've recently picked up:

Two excellent books, and the Muppets Treasure Island sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteCoraline looks so good! I'm dying to read it but have one too many books checked out from the library already :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loved Muppet's Treasure Island! We're in the middle of Coraline right now and enjoying it. Happy reading/watching!

Both Stardust and Coraline are completely awesome. (of course, I'm a serious Gaiman fan-girl, so hopefully you will like them too).
ReplyDeleteI love Richard Peck. It's funny, but I grew up in a tiny little town (only 500 people)...but it's only 10 minutes from Decatur, IL where he grew up. My grandmother's best friend, Rose, was his aunt. Before she passed away, she would give me signed copies each time he wrote a new book. I still have them.
Wow, those are great books! I loved The Graveyard Book and Coraline!
ReplyDeleteOooooh Stardust! The Graveyard Book! Coraline!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some really good books there, Jen! :D
Nymeth: I watched The Muppets when it came out but I haven't seen it since and thought it would be nice to watch since I'll be reviewing the book before too long. :)
ReplyDeleteSamantha: Did you know the entire thing is available online? Isn't Neil Gaiman a nice author?! I just borrowed the library's audiobook so he (the author) could read the story to me. ;o)
Anna: Thank you!
Dar: I'm sure you'll love it! It was truly a wonderful story.
J.Kaye: I can barely remember it but I'm looking forward to seeing it again
Naida: Thanks! I'm almost positive I'll love Coraline but I'm a little more hesitant about Stardust...
Stephanie: I really hope I'll love them! This will be my first Richard Peck book. What a neat story! (lol my library's copy was autographed too!)
Melody: Looking forward to reading Coraline (and seeing the movie too)!
Alice Teh: Thanks! I hope I'll love them as much as I want to!
haha, I love Muppets Treasure Island... That is by far one of my favourite children's movies of all times! Now I want to watch it!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Coraline - it is excellent and creepy! I haven't read Stardust, but the movie is adorable and funny!

Kailana: It was pretty funny but definitely not the best adaptation of Treasure Island lol. As Kermit said in an interview, it did have the esscence of it though!
ReplyDeleteThe Epic Rat: Looking forward to reading Coraline sometime this upcoming week. Thanks for stopping by!
