From my last Library Loot post I haven't read any of the books I picked up so far and I took back my Davy Crockett and Baby Take a Bow movies unwatched (but plan on getting again soon). Here are my latest library things:
The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan
Theodosia and the Staff of Osiris by R.L. LaFevers
The complete tales of Beatrix Potter by Beatrix Potter
Romancing the dead by Tate Hallaway
Why we suck by Denis Leary
Alias Season 4 (DVD)
Alias Season 5 (DVD)
I haven't had a chance to begin Halloway's series but want to. I've also heard good things about The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordin (sp?). Looks like you picked up some good ones!
ReplyDeleteAlias! I wish I could go back and rewatch them all for the first time. DVD's are the way to go. (BTW - did you receive my email about a reader spotlight?)
ReplyDeleteTheodosia and the Staff of Osiris sounds good to me! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's some good loot! I really enjoyed the show Alias, especially the first season. I need to go back and watch the whole series.
ReplyDeleteTheodosia and the Staff of Osiris looks interesting, I've never seen it before.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover of Theodosia and the Staff of Osiris. And Beatrix Potter! I've been in the mood for her stories ever since I read The Tale of One Bad Rat.
ReplyDeleteSamantha: I read one of her short stories in an anthology and loved it so I had to go pick up others! I'd never heard of Riordan before I picked up the book. It's part of the 39 Clues series and each book has a different author so far.
ReplyDeleteNatasha & Wendy: I've known about the show for forever but someone told me it was better than Burn Notice so I had to give it a shot. I did love it so much!!! I was pleased with how it ended even though I'm sad that I had to leave the characters :(
Melody & Rebecca: It's the second book in the Theodosia series, the first was really good and I should have a review of it coming next week.
Nymeth: I do like these covers in this series! This will be my first time reading Beatrix Potter since I was a kid. I've had a Potter illustrated blanket since I was a baby but I've only one of the books. I think I might try to read one of her biographies next.
I love Beatrix Potter! I own the complete set and pull them out to read them every so often. :)
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to read Beatrix Potter-I should check them out at the library. Alias-I loved that show. I sure wouldn't mind curling up on the weekend re-watching those. Great loot!
ReplyDeleteLove Rick Riordan!
ReplyDeleteKailana: I'm looking forward to reading the collection :)
ReplyDeleteDar: I've known about her work my entire life and I think I may have even had Peter Cottontail but there are just so many that I've missed out on! Alias was a lot better than I thought it would be. I had never seen it before but I was curious, so glad I finally saw it!!!
J.Kaye: I picked up another one of his books today :)
nice library loot!

I missed this post somehow - did you read the first Theodosia book? I had problems with it, but would read this one if it were in the library. Can't wait to read what you think!
