I am the first to admit it: I have a library addiction. Despite the 20 or more books I already have checked out, I've gone and picked up some more! Here they are:
The House on Tradd Street by Karen White
Living With the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
The Chocolate Frog Frame-Up by JoAnna Carl
The Storyteller's Daughter by Cameron Dokey
A Caldecott Celebration by Leonard S. Marcus
I totally want to read The House on Tradd Street!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've just given you an award on my blog!
Who's counting? ;-)

You really crack me up Jen-lol. I have The House on Tradd Street but haven't had a chance to read it yet. You'll probably get to it before me. Happy REading. I brought home a few more from the library today too. I probably won't read them but still-it was fun bringing them home. lol.
ReplyDeleteI've had my eye on Cameron Donkey/that whole series for a while! Look forward to your review.
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to read fairy tale series for a while now, but haven't got around to it! I look forward to your review!
ReplyDeleteHow many books can you borrow at a time? Ours is 8. I wish I've some time for the library, but unfortunately I don't. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOoh, I want to read that The House on Tradd Street! I had read several good reviews on this book so I definitely want to pick this up!
These all look good. I hadn't heard of The House on Tradd Street so I'm gonna check that one out.
ReplyDeleteAs a library worker - I love that you love your library!!
ReplyDeleteHello, my name is Rebecca and I am a library addict. I have been library book free for exactly one week...
ReplyDeleteCould you imagine if there really was a library version of AA? I swear we'd all spent more time off the wagon than on and what's more, none of us would care.
Anyways, have fun readig your stash and there's an award waiting for you here
You've got Living With the Dead! I hope you enjoy it. I really like Kelly Armstrong's books. Enjoy your library loot!
ReplyDeleteI would like to read The House at Tradd Street too. I am intrigued by The Storytellers Daughter too. I am just a book addict - library, book shop, charity shop - I am there!
ReplyDeletegreat loot! enjoy it :)

Aviansnchild: It's great! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteLezlie: Lol, exactly :)
Dar: I've already read it. I enjoyed it even more than thought I would!
Nymeth and Kailana: I just heard about it so I had to pick up the first one. Thank you, looking forward to reading/ writing about it!
Melody: I don't think we have a limit at least they've never said we had one. The House on Tradd Street is really, really good!
Samantha: Several blogs talked a lot about it when it came out as the author did a virtual tour. It's very good!
Luanne: aw shucks lol. I've always adored the library, even volunteered in my middle school library during my "free time" (which my friends and boyfriends never understood lol).
Rebecca: One whole week? Do you have the shakes yet lol? I'm with you! We'd turn the Library Addicts Anonymous meetings into book club discussions! Thanks, off to check that out.
Wendy: Yeah I finally got around to reading Personal Demon so I'll start that one soon. Kelley Armstrong is really great! Can't wait for The Awakening to come out!!! Thanks
Scrap Girl: Me too lol. I just got back from an antique store where one of the stalls was nothing but shelves of books and that is where I spent nearly two hours (then did a quick walk-through of the rest of the store in under 30 minutes!)
Naida: Melody asked pretty much the same question. I honestly don't think there is a limit, especially not for me since I'm an "active patron" but I'll ask when I go to pick up my next batch of books :)
You're very lucky to be able to take out so many books without having to return the previous ones. I'm not sure about the quantity here but it's definitely not what you could do over at your end. :)
ReplyDeleteI met Leonard Marcus last year and he is super nice. I'd love to read that Caldecott book.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The House on Tradd Street. I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Alice Teh: It is nice :) This system is the most user-friendly one I've ever used.
ReplyDeleteLenore: Bet that was neat! It's an interesting book.
Anna: I really enjoyed it too :)
