An amazing woman left us today. Beatrice Arthur, probably best known for her portrayl of Dorothy from Golden Girls died this morning April 25, 2009 "apparently due to complications brought on by cancer". A very sad day for everyone as Ms. Arthur was a treasure...a brilliant comedic actress, and once again that awful, devastating disease strikes again.....thoughts and prayers with all those who loved her.
Oh how sad. She was a fabulous actress - I used to watch The Golden Girs at my nan's every Friday night. Thank you for naming our mysterious bird in my scrap page - we didn't have a clue what it was!
I just heard about this this morning. So sad!

I used to watch this show when I was little, it was lots of fun.
Thats so sad about her passing, I did hear she was surrounded with her loved ones when she went.

Oh, this makes me sad. I really enjoyed her acting and sense of humor. She will be missed.
