I have a question guys, when do you start decorating for the holidays? Or have you already decorated?

I start the middle of November-usually November 15 to be exact. I'll be dragging out the tree and getting it set up so it can sit for a bit and then I start decorating it. Then the garlands and all the other stuff goes up. What about you-when do you start or have you already?
ReplyDeleteI usually decorate either right after Thanksgiving or the following weekend.
ReplyDeleteDar: This is my first year decorating my own home so I haven't decided when to start.
ReplyDeleteWendy: I thought about doing that too, but hubby and I spend two weeks of December in Georgia with our family so if I wait too long to decorate, I can't appreciate it :(
I'd probably be the only one not decorating although I do celebrate...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up, we always put the tree up on December 12th because my brother's birthday is the 11th and mom wanted him to have his 'special day'. When I was first out on my own, I would do it on the 10th and then tell him just to be ornery! LOL Now I do it whenever I feel like it. I am in the spirit pretty early this year, so I am hoping to do it the weekend before Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteAlice: Oh I didn't decorate the past two years but then my mom finally went through all of the Christmas stuff that she doesn't use or that has been considered mine and sent it home with me last year. So now I have a great big box of Christmas stuff to go through and find a place to stick it lol.
ReplyDeleteJezebelsk: I can relate, my birthday is on December 20th :o) I'm seriously considering doing it this weekend...
Call me Mrs. Scrooge, but I don't.
ReplyDeleteI usually start after Thanksgiving :)

Yep, sign me up for right after Thanksgiving. Either the weekend of, or the weekend after.
